Here in the Pacific Northwest we can't count on summer actually sticking around until after July 4th, that's the way it's been as far back as I can remember. So, these are the last days of the dreadful rains, we're all just barely making it as we ache for more light to penetrate our bodies and quench the dampness that lingers in our bones.
It's amazing how nature mirrors personal growth. In so many ways I feel this season echoing some of the same feelings I've been entertaining as of late. I'm filled with such a such a mix of hope, impatience, renewal to the present and excitement about possibilities to come. This weekend sped by and for that I'm thankful. I've been working through some unexpected emotions, not all bad but not totally making sense either. Time will work it out, of that I'm quite sure.

Flower petals from the big tree out front drop like confetti on the lawn.

Cozy food for cooped up rainy days. Carnitas, yum!

Out for a walk during a respite from the grey and the rain.

Rest.

Happy Monday Everyone!
